neo2810
Last night my handbrake warning light (and obviously the warning triangle) flashed on and off a few times as I pulled away. Now this morning the 2 lights were on for most of my journey to work. They flashed off when I accellerated but came on sometimes under braking and sometimes at flat speed. At the same time I can hear an irritating rattling sound under accelleration which I've not noticed before (but that may be due to music pretty much almost always on so may be unrelated). The rattling stops when the clutch is in changing gear and when not accellerating so I'm pretty sure it's not just something loose rattling around. I'll check the oil and brake fluid as well as the handbrake sensor in the centre panel later this morning but I've just had new pads fitted and the brake fluid changed and I filled the oil about 2 months ago so I doubt it's either of those. Any ideas?

neo2810
I'll try that first Steve, cheers. I'll grab the error codes if all else fails.
James
Brake fluid level is the usual for the handbrake light. As for the rattle, I'm not sure. I have a noise when my clutch isn't fully in and I've decided it's the thrust bearing. I think it's that anyway!
neo2810
Brake fluid topup seems to have sorted it, cheers. The rattle is probably nothing as it seemed less prominent when I took a quick test drive for the handbrake. I'll not worry about it for the moment
