Of course it hasnt. What made you think it it would ;)

Ray hasnt replied to my texts either so it would appear that I'm not the only one to receive his special level of customer service.

The last time he responded to me was at 09:03 on Saturday morning to say "I have everything mate. Will box up today and send Monday. I'll work out the cost and text you tomorrow. Have a good weekend"

I've heard nothing since then.

I was hoping after he replied to you that you might actually get your parts, what has he actually got ?

I sent him the following:

TT vac lines

Turbo heatshield

Throttle cable holder X 2

The small peice that holds the throttle cable bracket in place

Bonnet hooks X2

Bolts X 10

Slam panel

Radiator Plinth

I just want them back now. Chromed or not. If they not done I'll find somewhere else to do them.

We shouldn't have to but if you guys don't at least get your original parts back from Ray and your cars are off the road as a result then I'm sure some of us will have bits kicking around we can donate. For example I think I've got a set of the hard vac pipes in the garage collecting dust.

Now thats club spirit.

Unfortunatley Friday has been more of the same. No parts have turned up and no response to my texts or phone calls. Perhaps Saturday will bring better results.

I should have these...;)

So I'm getting fed up now. I called Ray twice yesteday and sent a few texts..........all without response. I called again last night and when he didnt answer I text him again asking if he could please tell me whas going on.

I know he read the text becasuse he called me straight away (by accident) as my phone barly rang. He must have pressed call by accident, shit himself when he realsied what he'd done and hung up. I phoned him back straight away, suprise suprise he didnt answer.

I text him again saying I dont even care if the parts havnt been touched and I just want them back. Still no response. I find it quite funny how a grown man wont answer his phone to another grown man who is a few hundred miles away.

I'm having a look on the trading standards website before I take a drive down to his house.

I think all those affected either by being owed new parts, parts they've sent him or money should get together in a new thread and send him a politely worded letter via a solicitor telling him he will be taken to court unless he responds and deals with each problem that is outstanding.

Or just drive up to his place and see what he has to say but if he doesn't answer the phone then i guess he wont open his front door either.

Thats not a bad idea although a solicitor would charge for the letter and then charge for any subsequest work they have to carry out should Ray chose to continue to ignore us all. I'm hoping trading standards will take cases like this on for free. I'll look into it further.

I've sent Ray an E-mail via the address on his website asking him to contact me and that I will be taking it futher. I wont let it go but I fully expect to be out of pocket by the end of it all.

Im afraid too many traders in all aspects of life almost rely on this knowing you wont do anything about it due to the cost.

Ray i think would make a great subject on the Rogue Traders tv program, it would be amuzing watching him run down the rd trying to escape the cameras and the guy on the motorbike lol

I would think it would be better for a calm person to go talk to Ray face to face with a list of what he needs to return to members. Lease that way he cant keep ignoring everyone.

Im not sure what Rays personal circumstances are and why he seems to have lost all intrest in this forum and his business but hes a decent person and I would like to think that he would sort it out and at least give members their property back.

Certainly a cheaper option than getting solicitors involved or going through small claims court.

I will be going to see him if he wont get back in touch. As far as I can see it's the only remaining option before involving other parties. I most certianly done mind rasing other members issues with him when I go down, if they would like me to.

I'm hoping I dont have to drive to his house but given his communicaton history I just dont see him taking the time to phone or e-mail me.

If it was me I would take a day out from whatever I was doing and go and pay him a visit on my own. I would have a list of things I would expect him to do, ask him to read it and then discuss what he was going to do.

If he chooses to do nothing then I would go to the small claims court and do it that way.

Thats how I would approach it.
