osso
Hi all, i need new tyres all round preferably eagle f1's. I've got 18" alloys and I believe the rears are 10" wide and fronts are 9" I currently have 275/35ZR18 on the rears 245/40ZR18 on the fronts These are the original tyre sizes that came on the car when it was imported to the UK, and i suppect that they may be wrong. and to add to the confusion, I've heard some people are using 280 tyres on a 10" wide alloy. help! tbourner
They sound right to me, I'm going for 285/35 18s on the rear on my 10" ers.
osso
hmm i've thought about that, but what size have you got on your fronts?
Jspec Germany
Ditto for me. Same sizes on Circlar GTA 18s. I'm buying tires here soon and strongly considering the Pirelli P-zero neros. They've gotten a lot of good press, especially in incliment weather you guys are used to up there in England.
tbourner
Going for the same 245/40 18s on the front. The 285/35s on the back will give it a slightly larger diameter, so my speedo will be out. But I generally drive pretty slow anyway.
osso
I've just got a quote from a local tyre company, and they have said that eagle F1's dont do 285/35Z R18's the quote was for eagle f1's 275/35ZR18 - £185 each inc vat and fitting 245/40ZR18 - £165 each inc vat and fitting so £700 quid all in. Bobbeh
They dont, thats why I ended up with Pirellis for my 285's. 245's on the front also.
Scarface GTti
I`ve just had 2 265/30/19 Goodyear Eagle F1 fitted at £434 all in for the pair. Fitted these as they seem to be raved about across many forums but i have to say that they are not as good as the Continental SportContact 2 i had on before! Stu_Fraser
Sorry for the hijack, but does anyone know whether i will get 285's on a 9.5inch rim????
Bobbeh
They're wide on a 10 inch, so I wouldnt advise it. Probably best with a 275 or 265.

True they don't do the 285 - I asked as well. Ask Ibrar on here for a quote (pro alloys), he got me the same as you've just said for £600. No fitting though obviously. Alex
Ibrar delivered my tyres 2x 265/35/18 F1's for £300 and a bit. He's always the man to ask and I can't honestly believe anyone on here goes elsewhere unless they are getting some monster bargain!
osso
The trouble is i cant be bothered to order a set of tyres all round and have them delivered, its the hassle finding someone to fit them since not many people like fitting tyres you've not bought from them. I doubt you could get 4 tyres in the supra to take them anywhere to be fitted in the first place, I've managed to get 2 in the back seat, maybe one in the front passenger, I suppose you could take the space saver out and stick the 4th in the boot
