SteveC
I used 2 sockets and a vice. 1st socket that'll just go through the bush hole in the cradle, and the 2nd one big enough that the old bush will fit inside the socket. Sandwich the cradle between the sockets within the vice jaws and slowly tighten the vice. The smaller socket pushes the old bush out into the large socket... jihwaan
Thanks for that. one more question though- the outer lip goes on the outside yeh? And you can re-use the original bolts?
SteveC
Yes, the larger diameter of the new bushes go on the outside of the cradle and just use the original bolts.

If you bought a brand new retainer fork I would leave the OEM bushes in, they'll be fine for ages. Or sell the new one, and fit a second hand one with the aluminium bushes. SteveC
I agree, if it was a brand new retainer/fork/cradle (whatever you want to call it) with brand new OEM bushes, then I would possibly just put that in. The original rubber bushes on my car had done over 120k, but I can't in all honesty say that I really noticed any real difference with the aluminum bushes in place.
