This is still happening on the streets of the United Kingdom. It's a disgrace that a small number of twisted people still feel the need to do things like this. It's been good up until relatively recently (the usual paramilitary punishments always go on) and there has been lots to be positive about, but it's becoming more worrying and the threat from dissident republicans is very high at the minute. Every near-enough terrorist activity articles you find on the bbc website happens to be in Northern Ireland! I think "woah!" and then "oh...".
