neo2810
Thought I'd stick this pic from NOS's for sale thread (I'm sure he wont mind) which shows quite nicely the difference between the std yellow bulbs and HID's (at least I think the yellowy bulb is a normal, but it may be 4300's and 8000's ):
mikeyh
right guys im going to attempt to fit my hid's tomorrow are these just plug and play or is there more that needs doing apart from making a hole in the back of the bulb cover:search:
monsween
they are plug and play but you may have to bugger about with them swapping sides and turning connectors around.
DARETT
The easiest thing is to just look at the colour of the wires and match up the connectors. The plugs can be connected either way for different polarity applications, however if you check the colours prior there won't be any issues. SupraStar 3000
Hi DARETT, I have my two sets I bought off you but wont be in a position to fit them for a few more weeks. Just for piece of mind I want to test them. Is there anyway to connect them to a 12v power supply to make sure they work?
monsween
Get someone to trundle round with their car and test them. Job done
DARETT
Lol, If you can't do the above; you can conjoin a wire from a 12v battery to the 9005/6 connectors, as an artificial power feed to test they're all working ok.
SupraStar 3000
will do. If i die by electrocution I'm coming back to haunt YOU!
DARETT
Lol, Wear rubber gloves!! JK, you should be fine, done it loads of times. The only time I got a bit of a shock was touching the unplugged wire from the ballast when the ballast had power going to it! Ouch, wasn't nice

SupraStar 3000
Both kits seem to work fine. Handy hint to anyone installing. Try them first with a 12v Booster Jump starter. Took seconds to hook up and see the light colour.
