DARETT
Pre-approved by Homer I'm happy to be able to offer a GB on some very good quality HID kits. The kits are Vision Performance kits, and come with a full UK 2 year warranty. I will be covering the 2 year warranty myself for all forum members. All kits and sizes are in stock and located in London. They have a full 2 year warranty, and are completely plug and play. The ballasts are Digital ballasts, and the bulbs have a 0.1% failure rate. The sizes available are HB3/HB4 and the colours available are: 4300k 6000k 8000k 10000k 12000k The ballasts are completely weather proof and water proof Below are some advantages of Xenon lighting over conventional halogen. A 35W HID light produces up to 3 times the lumens and more closely approximates the color temperature of natural daylight than a 55W halogen bulb. Greater visibility: The combination of more light output and whiter color make for better visibility in rain, snow and night time driving. Longer Life: HID lamps will last on average 10 times as long than halogen bulbs. Less Maintenance: Xenon runs cooler than your traditional halogens, therefore it will not melt your housing. This product has been designed to offer higher levels of water and heat resistance In one kit each member will receive the following: # 1 Pair of HB3/4 Bulbs (Colour of your choice) # 1 Pair Digital Canbus Ballasts # Full UK Instructions # Cable Ties and Fittings J-Spec headlights will need HB3 bulbs, and UK spec headlights will need HB4 bulbs. Other sizes are also available in stock if needs be, e.g, H1,H7, H3 etc... And if anyone wishes to also convert their fog lights it will be a H3 sized bulb. The price is £50 per kit delivered to anywhere in the UK. And we need a minimum of 5 people to constitute the GB. So if anyone wants top quality HID's then put your name down. Wyntersun
4300k will give you the best crisp white light, and 6000k will also give you the best light but will have a slight blue tint to them.
jevansio
I'm interested. What should I order if I want dipped and main beam for a GZ Ed, the full beam is next to useless, the dip hids will provide more than enough light, you'll never use the main ones
AndyT
I'm interested. What should I order if I want dipped and main beam for a GZ Jspec = two lots of HB3 9005's Ed. DARETT
Good price that! I'm going to get rid of my 8000k's soon, they're too blue for me! I want a nice crisp white , what 'k' should i go for? Thanks, as Wyntersun advised 4.3k will be a pure white light and therefore the best for output. The higher the K's the more colour is incorporated- therefore less light on the road. 4.3K or 6K is normally the most popular, unless you want a bluer look. I'm interested. What should I order if I want dipped and main beam for a GZ That would be HB3 X 2, however as Jay advised most people are more than happy with the dipped alone. Ed, the full beam is next to useless, the dip hids will provide more than enough light, you'll never use the main ones Jspec = two lots of HB3 9005's Ed. UK glass has a set of each HB3, HB4. DARETT
Can you give an idea of the size of ballista and do you do a high beam fitment I'll measure it up and post them. The ballasts are not the super slim types though. Yes you can fit in the dipped, high beam or fogs. ALL available

Terminator
I have 6000K dipped and mains, they don't look blue to look at but do give a cool(temperature) look to the beams. I originaly was against getting mains but they just look so odd and very yellow when used, I agree you don't need them, but for £50 it is worth it just to have white lights and a more modern look. I'll go for a set of Fogs to complete the set please.

DARETT
You suggest the main beam is pretty much unnecessary? I assume you'd need two sets of ballast etc. too if you wished to run main and dipped? TBH, the dipped beam upgrade is such an improvement on stock, that you seldom use your high beam. Unless you live in the countryside where maximum lighting is necessary. Also with the main beam, it is not instantly at 100% power. Although they will switch on instantly it takes just under a second to "warm up" fully and reach full intensity. Two sets of ballasts would be needed. IMO, a set in the dipped and fogs would be a good choice for people who need strong lighting setups.
