Scott
Ahh, it would seem to me that your HKS was setup wrong then. If you were seeing 1.2 on the 1st turbo then stock on both then something was wrong. Whatever your boost controller is set at you should see AFTER the transition point. The increase in boost on the 1st turbo is just a bi-product, not an actual setting. The higher you raise the boost for the transition the more violent the transition point will be.
CanisLupus
It was setup by the previous owner, not the brightest guy in electronics n stuff from what i see in the wiring he also did... I'm now in the process of rewiring everything to be in good and lasting condition ^^ Can i setup the HKS to control the first then while the APEXi controls both after transition? Or is this not possible because it works in the wrong way for this application? Have them both here. Apexi is fitted and controlling both fine after transition, HKS is sitting in the shelf waiting to be sold or if it is possible controlling number one
Scott
Yeah you can do that. I would advise checking your VSV's though if the boost isn't rising already though. If you check out the max-boost site listed previously that will show you how to raise the boost of the 1st turbo. Just substitute the solenoid with the MBC. Make sure you follow the best guide though, others have major downfalls.
CanisLupus
Should the boost of the first turbo rise although i still have the first stock cat fitted? I do feel earlier spool when i enable the APEXi to control the wastegate but boost stays about stock until both kick in. Is it ok that way or should VSVs be checked either way? Scott
If you have the first stock cat in you are mad to go past 1bar. Your EGT's will be sky high forcing the exhaust through the CAT. First thing to do is remove the CAT and take it from there.
CanisLupus
Ok so i think this was a yes ^^ Planning to do so but there are other things i have to sort out first and then get the 3" Downpipe with 100cells CAT. RR needed then if i still have some sort of cat in? Or is the high flow CAT already enough to let boost levels explode?
