michael
I don't think the type of roof will have any impact on the mechanicals.
Dave17
The aero top can leak occasionly and the body is less stiff, other than that there is nothing i can think of.
dr_jekyll
the main difference is the roof comes off the aero top , on the hard top it dosent mechanicly they are the same . same parts ect if you want a tt aero you will have to do it yourself or find one that has already been converted as all the rhd were na auto from the factory. Dave17
I always used vaseline and some rubber lubricant to sort out the tbar on my mr2, i'm sure it's just the rubber seals that perish over time, most probably replaceable if you get a leaky one. EDIT: Michael is right, don't use vaseline, i was thinking of other things Edited June 16, 2010 by Dave17 (see edit history)

Vaseline will rot the rubbers, it's petroleum based, better to use a silicone lubricant for rubber.
