David P
The TRD front strut brace is made of steel and is recognised as being the best of the bunch. The Carbing front strut brace however, includes a brake master cylinder brace. Here's a simple little 'have your cake, and eat it too' mod you might like. TTRickeh
How's that bolt attached to the MC? Is it just resting on it?
Tricky-Ricky
How's that bolt attached to the MC? Is it just resting on it? Its not attached, none of the master cylinder stoppers are, they just brace the cylinder from movement, and that comes from the bulkhead that the MC is bolted to. David P
There is a tapered hole on the end of the master cylinder, so I cut the head off a bolt and filed a matching taper on the end to locate it. Then just drilled a hole in the TRD strut brace and fitted it with a nut on each side. The nut on the inside is 'captive' and doesn't need a spanner. Then adjusted the length to just nip it up snugly. Simples, and works a treat. It stops the 3mm of master cylinder movement, and does give a firmer feel to the brake pedal. AndyT
Cusco stopper works with the TRD thank f''' Carbing is better because it's strong, incorporates stopper and light. TRD is heavy, great looking.

Glad it works, I plan on getting one of these eventually too. With other braces they normally use something inside the lip of the circular part of the bit to the right of where your bolt is, perhaps 'attached' wasn't the best word for me to use. Was just concerned the MC would move about and just rub against the bolt but if there's a wee hole for the bolt to go into fair enough

TTRickeh
Woops, looks like some those braces go in that wee hole as well, some do go on the right, honest
