Max Headroom
Received an NIP in the post for allegedly doing 50 mph on a 40 mph dual carriageway, had sent a letter off because wasnt sure who was driving and I have since received TWO visits from the boys in blue looking for me ! Makes no sense, must be living in a crime free area that they have time to do this. I wish
Elliot
Why would they visit for that? Surely it must be something unrelated? Or like you said, they need the extra cash...which is a lot easier than some of the 'real crime' prevention or response they could be doing. Max Headroom
No its all to do with the NIP. Question is why, a first class stamp is cheaper. Are they trying to scare me ! Its not working
carl0s
have they said why they've felt it necessary to visit you?

Kopite
Bloody hell, 3 visits from the police over the same thing? ooooh it's because it's for speeding, that's their #1 priority. I had a problem gettin the police to come ONCE when there was someone tryin to break into my garage!! They asked me over the phone to go outside and see if he'd gone....yeah until i get attacked and locked up/sued myself for hurting him!!! makes me sick. Supragal
No way, thats madness! Unless there was an incident that they haven't mentioned or something odd.
Max Headroom
So did you commit the offence or not then? Cant remember what I did yesterday let alone last February. I'm not going to just send them £60 for something I may or may not of done. Let the buggers work for it
Class One
No way, thats madness! Unless there was an incident that they haven't mentioned or something odd. Don't forget, he lives in Scotland. They do things differently there. Therefore I can't answer any questions relating to procedure in Scotland.

GeordieSteve
What a piss take!!! Did you ask for a photo to work out who was driving? Throw this in their face http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:edKWFGOSEQkJ:icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/eveningchronicle/eveningchronicle/tm_objectid%3D15602075%26method%3Dfull%26siteid%3D50081%26headline%3Dsuspect-denies-killing-jimmy-name_page.html+christopher-eade&hl=en (2 lads killed an old fella and both admitted being in the car... but both blaimed each other for driving it... both high on drugs... both got off with it)
