snake
I averaged 23.7 mpg over a distance of 600 miles from my bpu auto supra .
Guest ugp
Car price + insurance + road tax + servicing... does it actually always work out "cheaply"? true, but then, i average 17mpg during normal driving, then theres the miles im putting on the thing, would be nice to have it in the garage for sunny days, or the lack of, up here.... AndyT
On average runs, as described, expect 23 - 26 mpg. Everything in order. Good oil, good fuel, plugs, O2 sensor. This is combination driving, no manic boosting or stamping on go, motorway constant speed, little bit of town stop start. NA's are reported to be a little heavier because drivers stamp on go more. Town only, expect 18 mpg. TTfigures.
mobsta_01
I drove about 200 miles on £50 the other day in my n/a auto. Most of it was motorway driving, with abut 5 miles crawling on the M1. I wonder what my na-tt will give me.

Dave17
Yeah, she practically spews petrol out the back when she's cold started. Lemon juice trick is on for this weekend, it'd be nice not to go to the petrol station so often.

AndyT
EDIT: sorry i did 376 miles on 70 pounds of fuel!! still i think is pretty good its indeed of a service plus its a 3litre! Better. That is pretty good, i only get 200 a tank, definately needs new o2 sensors. I know this is the first place to look BUT it can be other faults. Wiggy replaced his, 2 in no. 170 spondoolies, no difference. So ask a decent tuner before you buy. Actually, edit that. O2 sensors have a finite life too. If they've, I think 50k miles change them anyway.
Dave17
Yeah mine have just clocked 80K so i'm pretty sure it's them. Other than crappy fuel economy she runs like a dream
stevie_b
Only one O2 sensor is needed for JSpec TTs I think.

supra-ireland
Only one O2 sensor is needed for JSpec TTs I think. Think so. I'm after a Bosch one at the minute. Gotta be able to do better than 240 from a tank.
geordie82
£160 round trip newbury -newcastle and alot of running around in the middle racked up 1150kmh near on 700 miles(if i worked it out right) taking it relativly easy didnt pass 90mph often since it was raining most the journey standard n/a doestnt seem to burn anymore fuel on a long run than my my vauxall combo van, town driving it seems to drink more than a pisshead in a brewery.
