supra_aero
Very good read if you are bored and fancy a giggle/shock factor. Some of the amounts these guys spent are just plain ludicrous. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/404311-the-10-brokest-former-superstars?show_full=true Please add links to other broke former rich celebrities if you know of any, cheers me up at work. supra_aero
I remember reading about mc hammers spending when I was younger and it shocked me. Still looking for a link to his expenditure as it was shocking. Here's a quick synopsis; home was approx $12-$20 million in the hills of Fremont, CA (can't find definite figure) The 40,000 sq ft house had Italian marble floors (flown in from Italy if I recall), Installed an outdoor waterfall at a huge expense A bowling alley, recording studio, 33-seat theater, 2 swimming pools, 2 saunas tennis courts, a baseball diamond, and a 17 car garage. Total waste of money.

Why they don't use a bank like everyone else is beyond me. At least banks are regulated and you have less chance of being screwed. Let's be honest most of these people are not famous for their intelligence. New Mike would be at the top, what a mess. The lotto lout recently applied for his bin man job back too! Forgot about that lotto lout. Here's another 65 to add http://www.popcrunch.com/bankrupt-65-famous-people-who-lost-it-all/

Chris Wilson
I wonder how many lottery winners blow the lot within 20 years? Putting my snob hat on (which some say suits me.... ) it appears that those not used to "old money" tend to be unable to handle the new adulation sudden wealth brings. Some of these ethnics have come from virtually a mud hut to having the money to buy mansions, cars and planes aplenty. Self control is not a term they know or or want to know, and there are many along the way willing and able to flatter, blackmail or cajole them out of as much as possible. The media has a lot to answer for, you need to be strong willed not to believe you are a lesser person without the latest mobile, flat screen HD TV or whatever the latest hype is. When into the supertax league the toys they covet just become more expensive, if not to say more ludicrous and vulgar. Anyway, got to go and trim the wick in the TV and change the mantles in two of the gas lights, see you

Attero
Most lottery winners blow there money on drugs and casinos. I've seen countless interviews where this has happened. Most are proud they did it.
