ManwithSupra
Hi All, Getting a strange random (random as in frequency) clicking sound when reversing on full lock and it can only be heard with the window down or when your outside the car. Any ideas what i need to be looking at? I am thinking one of the rear driveshafts is had its day, tried to do a search on here but there is no real diagnosis that i can read. Suggestions on what to look for?
Porky1978
You sure its not steering related?? Is it definately coming from the rear of the car?
ManwithSupra
It seems to be coming from the rear, difficult to tell when your in the car. What could it be steering related then?
Terminator
You really need someone else to pin point the source of the sound. I had a similar intermittent click, which I thought was rear end related. It turned out to be loose front sub frame bolts.
Porky1978
Jack the front end up and check your ball joints for wear/security.
ManwithSupra
Ok just had a garage try and diagnose this, and he says the sound is coming from the front upper passenger side suspension arm?? Not sure how this could be making a clicking sound?? Has anyone got any ideas or could confirm that this could cause a clicking sound? About a year ago i had R2 racing bushes installed all around the car, so i am dumfounded on what this could be. Scott
Tyre clipping the guard (the guard faces downwards overlapping). Had this a while back, if it is barely touching it, it'll sound like clicking. Another thing to check is the brake line
