Lee_e
Indeed, im glad it didnt. To me it looks like a bolt catch or something like a bolt that slides through 2 holes to secure something ?? its completely blunt on the small rounded end so it had to of been in the perfect position to go straight through my tyre.... Bad luck is all i say....
Stonkin
Not nice mate, reminds me of the day having a new tyre fitted to a previous impreza, getting 2 miles down the road and getting a 6 inch bolt straight through the side wall. Tyre fitters were surprised to see me back for a new tyre 10 mins later
AndrewOW
Indeed, im glad it didnt. Bad luck is all i say.... It looks like someone's placed that against your tyre to make it puncture on purpose. I don't see how it could go in at that angle otherwise. Lee_e
That thought did cross my mind at some stage..... but then i had driven for around 30 mins... turned into my road and then heard and Felt the small thumping. Theres a few pot holes which i canot avoid due to them being the size of the UK so it could of easily sat in there at the required angle for some mug ( ME ) to come along and quite sadly pick it up. All has been sorted now and my wallet has been emptied of all the birthday funds

Nodalmighty
Things like this are usually flicked up my the front wheels and then stick in the rear (assuming that is the rear tyre). That might repair with a mushroom patch.
tbourner
I had a nail in mine years ago at the same angle as that, I was certain someone rested it against the tyre when I was parked up.

supraturbochris
mate thats not good. I was parked on the beginning of my ex girlfriends drive way a few months back reversed off the driveway to go to work. When i got into work, rear tyre was quite flat and found 5 10cm nails in the centre of the tyre. Wasnt happy i only had the tyres fitted about a week before.
