gaijin
Good luck with your build.Wonder how the new Titan auto box compares with the BL box?
GlennK
Have read your thread with concern. And have seen both your cars at the garage way back. Looking at options as I said. Ay more info on the Titan? A quick Google only shows transmission fluid....
gaijin
http://www.titanmotorsports.com . Titan say their box is rated to 800rwhp.Info on their site.If it does what it says;its a cracker.
GlennK
Checked the site; nice. But better than the BLTH400? Both handle 9s passes. The difference is likely to be in daily driveability - lumpy changes...interesting to see what results are posted.

It would be harder to paddle shift a TH400
GlennK
Upgrading the Greddy LS to a new 3 row. So will be selling the full LS kit in a few weeks...Not used much - maybe 2k miles tops. Any interest?
GlennK
Ok. Have dropped off my pillar pod with Nodalmighty today for sizing of my custom gauges. And will have matching 'electric blue' night display with the Speedhut dials... And booked the car in to Paul Whiffen to do the build just as soon as he gets the kit all delivered. Counting down the days.
ray007
would you guys prefer this turbo or the GT62 from precision/PHR?
GlennK
Is this a trick question?
ray007
Is this a trick question? sorry i meant the PHR stage 2 GT62, sorry for my lack of knowledge
GlennK
Nothing wrong with the PHR GT62. Good power and fast spool. But the BW is more efficient as far as I know. And will deliver a bit more power.
GlennK
Have ordered a pair of UK made 264 cams from Paul Whiffen this morning to trial.
Luxluc
Nice move Glenn. Some of us have the BW 91-79 running with 264 cams now. I am really eager to see how your setup with the twin wastegate manifold performs. Is mapping planned for end of august?

GlennK
Ok. Paul W has almost completed the build ready for Ryan and I to take the car down to SRR tomorrow for its initial mapping session. Will update thread with the results. GlennK
Met Ryan at Whifbitz this morning. Darren did a Pro job on the fittings and engine bay re-organisation. Now tidy and gleaming! Well done Darren. And thanks Paul. Drove down to SRR for an afternoon of mapping. Actually went quick & easy. Ryan made a few tweaks and called it a day as I 'm currently running a stock autobox so didn't want to smoke it! Results are below - N.B. only running at a gentle 1.3 bar for the time being: RWHP: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c39/GAK1/RWHP.jpg FWHP: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c39/GAK1/FWHP.jpg :D:D:D And it drives smooth and easy - Ryan set up the Syvecs 'dial-a-traction & boost' control. Works a dream. A big thank you to Ryan. I'll be back once the autobox mods, brakes, wheels and tyres are done so that we can go for the target of 700bhp at 1.8 bar

Paul Whiffin
Nice, bet your happy with that Glenn. Thats the fastest spooling Borg Warner 91/79 I've seen by a long way. That twin wastegate manifold must be working a treat

Paul Whiffin
how does the twin scroll mani compare paul, how many revs earlier it making boost?? Well according to Ryan it was spooling 1500rpm earlier than L33's car which was using the same turbo with an XS Power manifold. 1500rpm is a lot!
