Nick
The new Gumball DVD arrived last night, the video of last year’s event through France, Spain and Morocco. The previous one set in America was brilliant. Lots of action shots and those two Cuban guys from MTV had me in stitches. This one is RUBBISH. I don't know why but most of the video is set around this short ar&e Yank twat, and his fat black bodyguard. I still don’t know who they are or why the DVD is centered on them. I can only assume this DVD is aimed at a US audience, and/or to please the sponsors because they’re about as entertaining as sitting in front of the mirror and watching your hair grow. It would also explain why they’re driving an X5 whilst wearing Alpine Stars gloves as they’re one of the sponsors. The interviews with the other drivers are beyond crap, they’re just plain irritating. No one has anything interesting to say, they just come across as arrogant idiots. Seeing as the king of Morocco let them drive as they like outside of the cities I was expecting some high speed footage of desert road racing but there was nothing worth a mention. With the exception of the loon in the Porsche it was very, very disappointing. Mine’s in the bin.
NEO
I agree, I have had the DVD for a few weeks now and after seeing it I was disappointed especially as I had watched the series of the event on the Extreme channel at the beginning of the year. There was a lot more action on the TV which the DVD does not show. I would have thought with the amount of high powered cars they had on the DVD that they could have done a section on each car and its performance rather than the amount of times they were getting caught by the police and worthless interviews. Dont even mention the Donkey clips!
cashpoint
Well that save me £15. I saw the action on the TV about a month ago and thought the DVD would be better as they usally use the best parts on the DVD. Given these reviews not going to bother. Nick
There're some reviews on Amazon.co.uk if you want some more opinions. I should have looked there before ordering it from Play.
