Tannhauser
I have nothing to add, except that I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread.
caseys
Michael will particularly like an MR2 driving around our area which has two of the flags being attached to the boot. Went to get a photo but the lights alas turned green so the monstrosity was saved for another day. Myself? I loathe the engerland engerland patriotism which probably 95% of them if they had to man up some time and put their life on the line for the country would probably try and squirm out of it, but like to show support at moments like this. Just like valentines. If you mean something show it every day of your damn life, not just at rare or blatant moments.

caseys
but do YOU have a falg? I've actually got a union jack falg somewhere in a cupboard, a big naish surf falg as well. Soemtimes when down the local beach I've used them as markers so people can locate us easily no falg no country (I love that izzard sketch)

barneybrendan
im not into football but have flags on the house.Thats mainly due to being proud of where im from and the fact that its getting stupid of late with englands traditions.First off thinking of tonning down christmas now thinking of banning england flags and shirts wtf .last week a mother and her young son went to get on a bus in town and the driver refused to let them on as her son was weearing an england top.As he was muslim he stated it offended him.Now that is wrong we wouldnt go to another country and say that their flag or traditions offend us. They did eventually get on as the busses occupants kicked off and the driver backed down. What gets on my nerves is why come to our country if you dont want to be part of it. Whats next...our forces wont be allowed to fly the union jack and george cross, which every barrack and ship flies.Do we tell immagrants that they hve to live by our beliefs and traditions,no and we never will.Prime example of this is the forces when i was station at RAFaldergrove there were a couple of muslims stationed there aswell. Now they wore blue turbens and had beards. For a start it clearly states clean shaven as the respirator will not make a seal thus they become a liability, and are not able to wear a helmet and look different buy not wearing the same head dress. Now this was many years ago so no doubt the government has made exceptions to get more ethnic people in. The Raven
This has been amusing me for ages. People starting facebook groups such as "screw the police ima wear my england top" and such then many randoms join up without having the first idea if its true. I will add "If facebook charges im off" followed by a number of dates when people they think its going to happen but never does. And people that put "Uphappy" or "Stressed out" in a status mostly girls. Followed by "Whats the matter hun?" "OMG U OK?" "Whats wrong!" From all her mates drama queens

But, you see, this is part of the problem. People believe this shit and get in a rage. Rags like the Daily Mail print any old bullshit, people believe it and get into a rage without questioning, and before you know it it's entered into public consciousness as fact! Here's your fine, upstanding English woman who was told to get her son off the bus. It really did happen. No, really. http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/news/Bus-row-mother-branded-liar/article-2277819-detail/article.html And another couple of articles about this wonderful, honest woman: http://www.thisiswiltshire.co.uk/archive/2004/09/22/Wiltshire+Archive/7268522.Woman_stole_from_her_hosts/ http://www.thisiswiltshire.co.uk/archive/2002/05/28/Wiltshire+Archive/7349282.Woman__18__in_custody_for_string_of_offences/ There is no ban on falgs or shirts, there is not threat to "Britishness" except in the minds of lunatics who believe what newspapers print to serve the political agenda of their owners. stevie_b
The first thing I do every morning is go to the bathroom for a slash, as is the right of any Englishman. However, this morning I quickly discovered something was wrong: I was straining and straining, but nothing was coming out! I shook my head to clear the fog of sleepiness and looked down, only to discover a hirsute Eastern European man (no doubt following some edict from the European Union) had just finished filling my urethra with polyfilla! Bloody foreigners, coming over here and sealing our knobs.

From all her mates drama queens I have some associates on fb that do this (I am a girl so does follow suit) but it does get me when they dont tell you what is up, why start something on fb then dont let everyone know the full story, always follows with 'I will pm you'. I must state that 9/10 times it is to do with some man upsetting us girls

I cant stand football I dont mind watching the world cup if im sat in with some mates but i wont activly watch it, I would rather get the xbox out. Or throw myself down a trail on my mountain bike, or go rock climbing, bit more tricky than hoofing a ball around the place and gettin paid x amount of pounds for it.
