Ad When you say in the block, do you mean you had the plugs out and it has gone inside the cylinder?
JODY T
I did the same, I just got some long nose pliers and fished it out.. If u can't find it you need to remove the cam cover, not too hard
ADD
No the plugs weren't out,the old grommets was falling apart and basically fell back into the top part of the engine! Will that mean it could travel to the cylinders??

JODY T
If I remember correctly the torque settings for the cam cover bolts is 5lbs/ft
JODY T
You may have to dismantle the cover when it's off from the inside as it'll prob be stuck in the cover.. Doubt it will be on the cams.. My vvti cover has filter or something that it fell on, I could see it with a torch, so used pliers..

Guest damo1
if i was you hand turn the engine to TDC depending on what number cylinder it fell into then use a torch and long nose plyers and fish it out but do not for godsake start the engine or it will be a nice job to a mechanic and hefty price for you...
