Why do so many people hate spiders?

Looks like a cockchafer (snigger) to me. :)

Ah good man ;).

I left the windows open in the house a few weeks ago & found 2 of these in the house at night. I thought they were cockroaches but after reading that & looking at the female fics this is what they were.

 

Still a scary sight to see in your house though.

definately not a cockchafer. None of its anatomical features match.

 

Where did you find the critter? Do you own a pond, or neighbours or something.

that to me looks like a diving beetle, Dytiscus marginalis.

quite common in Uk..

Obviously usually found in ponds, lol

Spiders are Satan's children put on this planet from his damned kingdom to put fear in the hearts of mankind. They freak me out completely:scared:

 

I know its irrational and I am unable to think of a single event from which point I did not like them. I have been scared of them for as long as I can remember.

'cockchafer' lmao...that's gotta be spoof!!!

 

Er.. it was just on the path outside the backdoor.. not really any ponds close by that i can think of, but i am surrounded by fields..i guess it coulda flown in for a reccy lol

 

At a guess.. it had to be around an inch long.
