Blocked saliva gland

Not quite sure what they expect Antibiotics to do, they are more for infection. If this has occurred over a few days and started to hurt like a bastard then don't worry to much, it's a blocked gland like i had first time. If it came over 6 months and didn't hurt get yourself checked.

Well its changd in size several times, getting on my tits a bit now. The antibiotics they have given me seem to have knocked me for six. My head has been pounding ever since, last night felt very rough and dizzy. If i turned my head my eyes seem to catch up afterwards, couldnt even walk up a flight of stairs without holding onto the banister, words have been a bit slurred to. not sure if im coming down with something else or what

It literally appeared 2 days ago, no issues there before. They said the antibiotics were to clear any possible infections there and they hoped that might release the stone that was blocking the pipe to the gland. Said they wont do anything until 1-2 weeks after ive finished the tablets on sunday, if its still there they refer me to a specialist

Are they going to give you a dose of chemo as well? As a mopping-up-just-in-case exercise?

 

No, The type of tumour I had only spreads along the nerve it is attached too apparently which is just in the right side of my head. Fortunately it was contained by the saliva gland.
