Animal
"The Final Frontier" will be released on August 16th. http://www.ironmaiden.com/The-Final-Frontier-cover.jpg Kinda like the artwork, even if it does look like something Gama Bomb would use. Download preview track here http://www.ironmaiden.com/download/index.html (although this looks like its currently broken) or here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7VNPSR39 The tracklisting... 1. "Satellite 15.... The Final Frontier" - 8:40 2. "El Dorado" - 6:49 3. "Mother of Mercy" - 5:20 4. "Coming Home" - 5:52 5. "The Alchemist" - 4:29 6. "Isle of Avalon" - 9:06 7. "Starblind" - 7:48 8. "The Talisman" - 9:03 9. "The Man Who Would Be King" - 8:28 10. "When the Wild Wind Blows" - 10:59 Total Running Time: 76:35. Not been a big fan of the last few studio albums and 'The X Factor' was terrible. 'Seventh Son' was probably their strongest album IMO (besides 'Live After Death', but that goes without saying). Still, looking forward to seeing them at Sonisphere.

DaveR
Awesome - I can't wait for this! Love that artwork, too. I agree that The X Factor wasn't much cop (with a couple of notable exceptions, song-wise), but the other recent albums have been okay. I went to the A matter of Life and Death show at Earl's Court a few years ago where they played the whole album from start to finish before the encore, which was actually a lot of fun. Up the Irons! Thorin
That's the first I've heard the preview track. Pretty good. Have to agree with monsween, Number of the Beast first, closely followed by Seventh Son
michael
15 years ago I would have wet my pants at the thought of a new album, now I really can't seem to get excited about new stuff from them. I went to see them on their last tour which was an album play-through, I yawned until the encore when the old stuff made an appearance. I'll give it a go but I doubt I'll be buying it, my collection stops at Fear of the Dark.
Animal
It changes quite regularly, but my top 5 (studio albums) would be: 1. Seventh Son 2. Powerslave 3. Number of the Beast 4. Piece of Mind 5. Iron Maiden
RobD
6...66 the number of the beast!
stevie_b
I love the artwork too! I've got no Iron Maiden in my music collection, so I'll check out Seventh Son and Live After Death. Thanks for the recommendations Animal.
Animal
Live After Death is essential IMO. (nearly) All the best tracks from the first 4 albums. Somewhere In Time could have made that list also (possibly at #4)
RobD
My other halfs dad loves Maiden! He went to see them live a couple of years back and said they were fantastic! I don't mind them at all, I've got quite a few albums of there's, quite like the live in rio cd they released!
michael
I actually preferred the tribute act "Iron on Maiden" to the real thing - the setlist was far superior and the stage wasn't as crowded with spare guitarists.
Animal
Hmm, I know what you mean. I've no idea what Janick Gers is for...
JustGav
It changes quite regularly, but my top 5 (studio albums) would be: 1. Seventh Son 2. Powerslave 3. Number of the Beast 4. Piece of Mind 5. Iron Maiden Not much into my metal any more, but will always have a soft spot for Eddie as I used to love the stuff. Goot choice above, but you forgot aces high (Love the track and poster)

JustGav
Aces High is the opening track on Powerslave... Oooh, I stand corrected, I didn't know that, has been a while...
Animal
Yeah, that is my top 5 ALBUMS. I don't think I could do a top 5 songs that would be current for more than 15 minutes.
Matt H
Almost read this as the new Iron Man (iron man 3)

Animal
Okay, I can get a top 10, but can't decide on the order . 1. Powerslave 2. Prisoner 3. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son 4. Hallowed Be Thy Name 5. Phantom Of The Opera 6. 2 Minutes To Midnight 7. Wasted Years 8. Aces High 9. Stranger In A Strange Land 10. Rime Of The Ancient Mariner maybe. Nick
Everything up to and including Live After Death is great but then they lost plot. Got it back with Brave New World in a big way IMO, then lost it again. Will have a listen to this one but unless its a come back like Brave New World I won't buy it. Kind of like Metallica, should have stopped after the Black Album.

The Live Rock in Rio which was the consert for this album is the best live album ive ever heard in my life. looking ofrward to the new album. it has to be better than "a matter of life and death" which was shite to be totally honest. Aweegin
Killers...awesome album, I love Paul Di'Annos vocals.. Though all the albums up till Seventh Son were good 'n strong...all went a little awry after that for me.
