Kirk
Right ive decided to ditch the rear wiper but i dont want to go down the road of welding up etc etc. Anyone recommend some decent grommet or blanking cap and where to get it from?

Kirk
I know I should do but at I don't want to bother with painting things just yet. There's got to be a decent temporary solution? Didn't konrad have a nice blanking cap which wasn't that noticeable?
jim
Any idea what size the hole is Martin? There's a few things like this on ebay, you might be able to find something to fit. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NORTON-CHAINCASE-RUBBER-INSPECTION-CAP-ATLAS-ETC-/160409928593?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item25592d4391
dude
A nice little alloy cap would look nice, and easy enough to machine up.
DamanC
I think I used some kind of gromit from halfords (theres a thread on here somewhere). Looks stock
Shane
I think I used some kind of gromit from halfords (theres a thread on here somewhere). Looks stock Yes, my son works at Halfrauds and the other day he noticed I had lost the wiper on my car and said that they have a blanking plug perfect for that. I have asked him to get me one and if it looks ok I will use that rather than knocking in the edges and filling which was my original plan. If he remembers and it fits I will take a pic. dwayne
i ditched the rear wiper in a ford escort once and i used a tap hole stopper (normally come in chrome or white). you can get them in any plumbers merchant
kjgreen3
If the hole is either 20mm or 25mm you can use electrical blind grommits (they come in those sizes) good for 1mm to 2.5mm thick material. As I remember there are two types. Rubber (dull colour) or plastic (shiny black finish). You could probably spray it to colour match your car before installing if your car isn't black. All good electrical wholesalers stock them. Worth it if its just a temporary fix like you have stated.

suprasurrey
I can machine you a two part bung that will clamp around the hole. I can make this out of aluminium or black plastic, the choice is yours. All I need to know is the precise diameter of the hole. Please pm me if you`re interested;)
Kirk
An update! First of all id like to thank suprasurrey for machining up this most beautiful blank which he machined from ali.
