Jamesy
Also now decided to leave some blue in the engine bay to break up some of the chrome. Got some blue hoses going in, blue end plates of the strut brace, blue GReddy timing belt and blue spark plug cover (modified to show HKS cam pulleys)

Jamesy
Yeah mate Lee is motoring now. Biggest hurdle to get over is modifying the manifold to fit with the hcover on the turbo. We need to clock the manifold as its currently straight. Once thats done we're all good.
Ricky49
Thought you might have some issues with that manifold. Looking good though matey coming along nicely.

Jamesy
Looks like Lee has his work cutout there, miles apart aint it? is he going to have to cut and shut the downpipe? It looks worse than it actually is in those pics as the flange has been cut and is just resting there Hoping not to touch the DP mate and do the modifying to the manifold which is why he's doing the test fit now to see what we need to do..... nigelboyne
cant wait to see this finished great work so far. is your car a jap or uk car mate and what mileage is on it.just wondering is there a certain point ie mileage that if you pass then high power single is out of question Edited July 8, 2010 by nigelboyne (see edit history)
Jamesy
Hi mate thanx The car is a jspec 96 facelift. 70k miles. Lee did a compression test before starting and all was good - i'll ask him to put the results up. To be honest not sure about how much a higher mileage car would be affected - far as i know as long as the engine has been really well looked after should be fine. Pudsey
Your new down pipe looks great. I have never heard of that make before, but it looks like a quality item. Especially like the two bungs that come as standard, very nice indeed mounted just after the turbo.
