Jamesy
i'm guessing when they go on i'll def be needing the JDL arches? does going up from a 295 to a 315 mean it will stick out 10mm front and 10mm at the back of the wheel? so only 10mm further out towards the arch than it currently is .... Can anyone advise on the above about the tyres? Theyre due to arrive early this week and i need to know what difference they'll be once fitted compared to my 295/30 R888? JamieP
315 tyre is 315mm so yes 20mm wider than a 295.
Jamesy
Thanx J. So as it currently sits the new tyre will stick 10mm further out towards the arch (and 10mm further in towards the coilover)?

Jamesy
With thanx to Lee we managed to drop the suspension on the coilovers today. I think its sitting nice now, and it doesnt rub at all i might drop it more but while its winter and before i get the jdl arches its fine Edited November 28, 2010 by Jamesy (see edit history)

Supra-Brett
Car looks awesome. What side skirts are those? Wheels look very similar to mine but with a bigger dish at back and smaller at front. I think the larger dish on my fronts does restrict the brake size that i can have though, as it doesnt look like UK ones will fit under my wheels

I wanted to get the biggest dish possible but my fronts are 2.5" which was the biggest to allow big brakes

Jamesy
lowering it looks fantastic mate, dont look like your driving a bus now on big fook of tyres, ha - the tyres are a 295/30 profile which make the gap even bigger and gives the effect it was higher before......my new tyres are 315/30 which will be the same height wise so should be fine now

Jamesy
SSR wheels were taken off today for winter (a couple of weeks later than planned!!) and replaced with the winter Rota GTR's i just bought (cheers Rick ) Unfortunately the last bit of sh!tty weather has made a few surface marks (like water marks) on the dish of the rear wheels - one more than the other. gave it some going over with metal polisher today which helped a lot and will give it another going over to try and get the last few marks off later in the week - they arent pitted and u cant feel any scratches so im hoping they're just markings that will buff out. ....the car has been undercover for most of the bad weather and snow but the last week i had the car uncovered and the snow came too quick......and i used that poorboys treatment on beofre fitting them Before After Before: After Not the most flash but will do me perfect over winter
