Jamesy
thanx guys - should sound even better next week when we go back and push it to the limit. that was only revving to 6700 rpm and only at 1.6 bar
Lee P
It was only 1.6 bar at the very end of the dyno run as we had some issues with boost control, it was actually much lower. The video is only spooling then lifting off. Much more to come.
Jamesy
Had a major breakthrough yesterday with the manu mode function on the BL Autobox...see Lee's comments on post #18 here ----->http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=227834 This means we can now go back to the dyno within the next week, and hold it in gear so Ryan can upp the boost and tweak the map....and see how much power there really is! Jamesy
I'm probably going to be selling these new gunmetal alloys so i can whack some wider rear wheels/tyres on it - after Ryan and Lee did some mapping on the road i am pretty nervous of using the skinny tyres when driven hard!! JamieP
More boost:D you need some wide wheels and super sticky tyres asap mate.

Jamesy
More boost:D you need some wide wheels and super sticky tyres asap mate. Got my 295 R888's in the garage ready to go on......just need a pair of wider rear alloys to stick them on. Yeah i want to go to 2bar if Ryan is happy to push it that far
Lee P
Don't think we will have enough fuel for 2bar mate, the lines will be the restriction now.

Jamesy
Thanks for the kind words guys, not been an easy one this but it's getting there now. You deserve all the credit and some mate. Now the build is coming to an end i just want to publicly say i have been blown away by the attention to detail, workmanship and professionalism @ SRD. I will hold my hands up and say i didnt give you an easy conversion due to some of the early parts i bought, and the time fabricating bits to fit in such a good way is way beyond what i ever thought was possible. The engine bay is spotless, all wires hidden away to give a smooth finish and nothing has been too much work or hassle. Thing slike spending 18 hours on a Sunday checking and rechecking the cams, shims and springs etc just go to show what you can expect with SRD looking after your car. To say im over the moon is an understatement of the highest order Anyway, love fest over, all im trying to say is cheers mate
