Jamesy
hey guys thanx for the comments was an interesting day - big thanx to Ryan for a great session As jamie said the car is currently sitting at 632 bhp @ 1.6 bar but only at 6700rpm - Ryan said that run would be 650bhp @ 7200rpm. However we think it will do 700 or thereabouts - but first i need a decent set of rear wheels/tyres. Still waiting on my 11.5"j wheels to arrive from Japan which is frustrating! We also need to know how the hell to use MANU mode with an auto with a Greddy plenum - without this we are always going to struggle! The drive home was very steady, with a couple of blips of aggressive power which felt the nuts!! REALLY impressed with what Lee has built for me but i do want to know what it'll do at 1.8ish bar and full revs up to 7200-7500 - will be rebooking Ryan @ SRR again very soon as soon as we discover how to use MANU mode just for the dyno run. dude
Did you not use the converter lock????? How come you could not get any grip with 255's, we had a rwd mkiv escort over 500hp and narrower tyres didn't spin at all and it was hardly strapped in:blink:

Yeah there must be a way mate - i cant be the ONLY person ever to use an auto with a greddy plenum and do a dyno run - have asked on supraforums too - i dont believe its not possible...altho without knowing we'll never get a proper run on the dyno. JamieP
If you have the converter locked what is the problem???? No problem from what i could tell, it was all mapped up fine, I never got involved in it to much but from what i could tell it effected the readings and spool time, they wanted manual mode to work to get a nice number i think. dude
Maybe James should just 'man up' and get a 6 speed.
Jamesy
Here's the dyno plot 623 bhp and 542 ft lbs - 1.6 bar and nowhere near max revs - you can see is going straight up so loads more in it!! Also shows later boost on the chart than it actually is for some reason - it spools up like an animal
Jamesy
what are the boxs temps like mate? nice figures by the way Temps were brilliant mate - 130-160 the whole way...used the lock up switch when crusing which helped loads - cheers for the tip Dude
JamieP
That dyno graph looks well odd, what was it like on the road, did if feel to spool fast?
Lee P
Was a good day apart from the manual mode not working. Lock out switch was great and really helps but we just couldn't get a clean run. It's easily 650hp maybe a bit more but will have to wait till we can get the manual mode to work to get a better reading. We had the trac motor and tps plugged in but still had some errors on the box and no manual mode so will be checking that out. Really happy with what we have done so far though it's an animal on the road.
Tenttu
Great power!! Congrats! I expected the torq to be higher on those kind of pressures. Is this still on standard fuel pressure?
Jamesy
Great power!! Congrats! I expected the torq to be higher on those kind of pressures. Is this still on standard fuel pressure? Hi mate - that power isn't really what the car will make - its just a temporary reading til we get it locked into manu mode and stick some wider rears on it. Standard fuel pressure for now but we will tweak the FPR when we go back to up the boost

Jamesy
That dyno graph looks well odd, what was it like on the road, did if feel to spool fast? yeah mate big time!! Altho it was using the lock up switch for the reading i think which takes longer for it to kick in and the hi stall isnt slipping....
