Cerikbok
About 2 months back I bought some things from forum members on here and had it sent to the house. My leave ended up being a bit longer due to the iceland volcano and my wife was unable to get back in time to receive the packages that were waiting at the local post office. However, none of them have been returned to their senders!! What in the heck is going on here? I know they are not still in transit as they were supposed to have been returned 3 weeks ago. Rang them up and was told the senders have to fill out some form and they will try and find it at their national return depository. I think someone just got their hands on some nice car parts for nothing! Since they were smaller items I don't believe they were posted certified Has anyone else had this problem and how did you correct it? TopgunTT
I send everything recorded now as the royal mail lost 2 items last year. Still doesn't guarantee you getting it though.

caseys
Guess my carefree buying days are over with, better get serious with all this tracking business now Good rule of thumb when I am the seller/buyer-: Ask for proof of postage if bog standard 1st class - post orifice give this for nowt Or photo / tracking number in PM when postee tells you it's posted
Guest Budz86
I've had Royal Fail loose various bits in the post, one of which was a clutch cover plate! Turned up with sticker on saying "package open/damaged" but with nothing inside. When I challenged them, they said it wasn't packed properly and they couldn't be sure it was lost while in there care! It was there fecking sticker! Plus, the amount paid for postage was on the package and since it was so heavy, postage was around a tenner! They sent me a crappy letter and a book of 1st class stamps! Everything now goes recorded with half a roll of parcel tape!
caseys
Everything now goes recorded with half a roll of parcel tape! Only half? I send things and I think half the fun of sending them is making them a laugh and a challenge to open
