Wyntersun
Does anyone know it this will fit over the n/a engine? Ebay strut brace. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190403076703&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123#ht_740wt_1139 Im sure I have read somewhere that the n/a engine sits higher than the TT. David P
If it doesn't clear, just fit it over the rings that are currently there.
reeceu
it will fit but when you get it you will need to move the bar from going vertical to horizontal if you know what i mean, it looks stood up so you will have to turn it to its side to clear you intake. i have on my na, it is very close though! Wyntersun
cheers guys. So it will fit if I fit it over the rings that are already on the strut and twist the bar sideways. Is there any other braces out there that are not hugely expensive that I can buy?
Nic
Carbing make this brace specifically to fit the NA, they are expensive, but the best in terms of rigidity. They also include a brace for the brake master cylinder, which can make a big difference to brake feel especially with the smaller NA brakes. Don't expect any difference in rigidity with a cheap Ebay one. http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/4341/attachmentphpgr9.jpg http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/2775/attachment1phpdh1.jpg Edited June 7, 2010 by Nic (see edit history)
Wyntersun
Looks nice, where can I get one of these from? Im thinking as I have an Aero top, my Supra is more prone to flex than the non aero tops. Probably could do with a rear brace to, but im sure the roof wont fit in the boot then?
Nic
Carbing rear brace is also one of the best as it bolts to the central cross section as well as the top of the struts. Can't remember if it fits with the roof, someone here should know. http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/5161/p3150092nj3.jpg http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/4684/p3310126ee7.jpg http://img329.imageshack.us/img329/3093/p3310127jq3.jpg There's also the Carbing floor brace that bolts in behind the front seats. http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/8638/cimg0001pz2.jpg
