bodilx6
I would love to visit the festival of speed at Goodwood in July. But, is there anyone that has any recommendations on where to stay? It's kind of hard to know where exactly to stay so its easy to get to and from the festival. I will either need relatively cheap but cosy accommodation for me and the girl, or if she can't be pursuaded, maybe my dad in which case it needs to be very nice a not any specific price range. Also, how much time are you able to spend there? Will you have seen all there is to see in a single day or how big is it? Thanks!
caseys
Going on Friday the 2nd, if you're there from about 10am I'd say you have enough time to walk around and view everything but not have too long as a lunchbreak. Then again you are probably going for more than 1 day? Definitely make sure you go up and check the rally stages, the group B stuff is always nice. I always walk up there first then work my way down the hill. Oh and bring some waterproof light gear, as we can't promise sunshine I'm only an hour's drive from Goodwood so I can't say I've stayed there but good websites to check for hotels would be (chichester) http://www.laterooms.com/en/Hotels.aspx?k=chichester&d=20100607&n=1&rt=1-0 http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotels-g186406-Chichester_West_Sussex_England-Hotels.html BTW let me know if you're there on the Friday Won't be in the Supra though as 4 of us going in 1 car (and I'm probably the smallest at 15 stone..). Leaving the carpark/field the other year I was in the Supra and turned onto the road in quite a... spirited manner and accidentally covered a traffic attendant in a bit of turf
ivan
I'm only an hour away too so can't help other than to suggest a tent - plenty of people do so.

ivan
By booking only I'm afraid. They haven't sold tickets at the gate for years now.
