Need4Speed
Is there an alternative spec fluid to the Toyota official stuff? It seems to be unavailable. (I have used the search!)

Need4Speed
Been loads of threads on this, Type VI fluid.I even had a couple of litres left over when I sold my previous Supra - couldn't give it away... so I chucked it 2 years ago! Problem is that I'm not in Britain and here in France I've never found a Toyota dealer whose even seen a mkiv TT never mind supplied transmission oil. The other issue is that all French Supras were manual! So the question still stands... is there an alternative that's up to spec? tDR
Try Oilman, member here, he may be able to help you. He can supply Amsoil 'fully synth' ATF for Toyotas - used it successfully in my BL auto to help keep trans temps down and the fluid good with drag abuse. Miguel
Any Toyota main dealer should be able to get it whether they are in France, Poland, Ukraine, wherever. If it is on Toyotas EPC system then they can supply it. If they say they can't then find a dealer that knows what he is talking about and complain to Toyota France. If you can't be bothered with all that then contact Steve Manley at Inchape and see if he will deliver some to you.
Need4Speed
Cheers Miguel et al. What I was hoping to hear was that there's an alternative that isn't at the extortionate price Toyota command. Engine oil here is almost half the UK price and I had hoped to find a TX oil at the same rate.
