Wynns Radiator Stop Leak

Recommended Posts

I just had my cambelt changed yesterday and while the radiator was out the mechanic noticed it was getting a bit rusty so he put some Wynns Radiator Stop Leak in to be safe.

I know Radweld is not good to use but he assures me this Wynns stuff is ok as it contains lubricants to stop it clogging waterways etc.

Does anyone know if this is ok, or should I get the whole system drained out and refilled with normal coolant asap?

Cheers

Personally I would get a new rad and drain and pressure flush the system. any of those stop leak compounds are just a nasty delaying tactic. I have used them but only on old cars I was trying to get a few more miles out of with out spending money.
