michael
Bet you had a nice dinner. It was lovely, I'm a fan of the sauce, I don't think it's anything special in the grand scheme of things but it's an excellent mass market product range for something a bit different. Did Levi win some money from the den? I can't remember. I do remember watching him though. Peter gave him the money he wanted and they have both done very well out of the whole thing I believe. Konrad
"Love Apple" is only one I like. Reggae sauce tastes absolutely crap. I actually tought it was out of date when tasted it first time
steady_dave
He got 2 Dragons to give him £50,000 for 40% of his business. Peter and that Canadian fellow, although Levi just bought the cancdian guy's shares.
AndrewOW
I liked the original Reggae Sauce, but am loving the tomato sauce he's now producing. Goes great on fish and chips. Squeezy bottle too.
Rob
I wonder if its truly the same though, cos he used to make it in his kitchen for the Carnival, but now its made in some large industrial unit for x-milllion litres a year. Now I recall, there was some confusion over his original order which he showed the dragons, I think he told them it was somthing like 5 million litres, and he'd got the decimal point wrong, and it was only 5000 litres, or something like that,

AndrewOW
It's good to see someone really doing well from Dragon's Den, and I think he would've done it on his own anyway. He was that kind of character. The tomato sauce is very good to spice up a bolognese too.
Scott
You can fairly belt this one out Dave I'm guessing this was after the secret sauce n_k8_HSA1-o

That kind of TV coverage would make him a success without their help, it was the right combination of product and personality. Imagine if he had gone on there with the heated toilet seat cover, or the bath-overflow stopper.
j_jza80
I really like it. A couple of tablespoons full goes well in baked beans an alternative one (which I prefer personally) is Jerk made by Econa. Comes in smaller bottles but is far more potent.

Trying to get an appointment with a buyer/head of aquisitions when you're a nobody is almost nil. Apart from Tv exposure for one episode, what was Levi's marketing strategy? How would customers know that his RR Sauce would be on the shelves nationally, let alone regionally? I guess he had little money for a campaign. And even if he had a massive order, how was he going to genuinely fulfil it? I think Peter Jones' contacts helped enormously. Still, Levi did very well on the Den and deserves everything that comes his way PS I like his sauces.
