Ive got a 1994 n/a manual Supra and in a year or so's time im looking to do a twin turbo conversion so rather than replacing my open diff with another one i would rather replace it with an LSD to save doing it later on. Ive been searching the forum but i keep drawing a blank.. would a 6 speed manual LSD fit a 5 speed manual Supra? A smaller cased auto as im pretty sure there the same as a NA LSD. .. im after and LSD for mine aswel The facelift (with v161 gearbox) TT manual diff is a direct swap, but the ratio's mean much longer gearing. The diff on the TT v160 boxed cars is the large casing and as you say not a direct fit. Would a auto lsd throw out the gear ratios on his na manual? i know it would on a tt manual. Yes, it will but not as much as the manual TT diff's. It'll mean slightly longer gearing that using the NA one, it wouldn't be hugely noticable though. Ideally, you'd be looking for an NA LSD diff (there were a few with these). Not sure on the prop differences, Jamie you know more about those. You might need a prop aswell, i think the bolt spacing is different, although you may be able to swap the ends over on the diff, been a while since i messed about with them and i cant remember now. The Supra was fitted with 2 different diff casings, left is an early model 6spd TT diff (B), right is the smaller diff (A) used on ALL other Supra models, including the facelift 6spd TT. I'm looking at getting a LSD TT auto diff for my 5 speed but in some posts people are saying it won't fit & others say it will...... I'm just trying to find out if I will have a problem if I buy this diff or would I need to go for a different type?
