tooquicktostop
Always liked the looks and yes I know they are not reliable, but then I am used to that I have the offer of a swop with a little cash going their way for the Corvette, now I know I was clearing out space but I am tempted Car is this one, thoughts, I have never driven one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1988-LOTUS-ESPRIT-TURBO-BLACK-/300429348071?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item45f2fc0ce7#ht_500wt_957

AndyT
Spot on on price and SW Lotus seem to have a strong rep. too. Up to you. I like them but I've never driven a vette.

Vette is great fun, in fact I really am unsure I should sell but I do get bored so quickly, I pick up the MK1 Golf tomorrow so I have to make up my blinking mind ! I think the lack of torque will get to you in about a week then.

snake
Looks nice, id get it checked over by somebody that knows them before doing a deal though. Good advice ,my mate had a lotus and it spent more time in the garage than on the road, but it looked great.
Dave17
I disagree on price, I looked in to these and for around £15k you could get a very low mileage minter 97' plate. I think it's too much
marbleapple
I love them. Always wanted one and would be tempted for the older model because it is more square shaped.
ozz
Love these, always been tempted for you but it would be a newer model. I bet they cost a fortune to fix if they go wrong tho.
pistonbroke
Mate in work had one for a while, nice car, shocking interior.
tooquicktostop
I am kind of talking myself out of it, will just sell the Vette and concentrate on the Golf for a while Think an Esprit will get driven a lot less than the Vette, you can drive that everyday
Alex
The late model V8's are the best, best for everything, reliability etc etc...not so sure about the older I4 models. Digsy on here might be able to put in you touch with some reliable contacts...
Nick
I test drove a year old V8 at a dealer in '98 I think. Probably would have bought it if it wasn't falling apart around me. The interior was a joke, sounded like *everything* was rattling. Even the screws holding in the indicator lenses were rusty. Shame, it's a great looking car and great fun to drive.
