Ewen
If it were me, Id spend all day on the river with my lady. Picnic, champagne, beautiful scenery. Then after a while, give her a quick punt up the creek.

michael
You don't want to know. Why mention it then? By doing so he now does want to know. In summary a member got attacked and beaten up by a group of thugs after a night on the town.
hogmaw
Lots of parks and some very good museums too near the centre
CJ
There is a tour bus that takes you round the city - well worth doing. Visit the colleges, museums, and take a punt (boat ride) along the Thames towards Abingdon. It is a beautiful city with some wonderful architecture. People get beaten up in every town/city across the UK, but I would think Oxford is a place where it is unlikely to happen. Lovely city. I bought my supra there. Have a wander round the college quadrangles (if they're still open to the public).
