Wez
Is your car manual or auto? If it was my car and a manual I would sell the EManage, airflow meter and HKS DLI and install a standalone ECU, something like the Syvecs S6 which Ryan can supply, fit and map. These are working really well on a few motors over here now.

I actually asked a tuner who tunes Motec and he wasnt keen to playing with the software, not sure why can someone email me a base map for their car i would like to show this to tuners and see if they can tune it email :osman.naeem@gmail . com

Tricky-Ricky
The Emanage will handle the 650cc injectors fine, my Supra was running similar, but as said going stand alone would probably be a better bet for the future if you're looking for more power. Guest osman
Ryan is coming to Australia next month and i am getting him to bring along Syvecs S6gp for me and i am going ahead with it. I just need some input from the guys who have used it on their VVTIs , Ryan advised i have to modify my DBW to a certain angle, can someone shed some more light on it I know MarkR had the same deal but his car was in a tragic accident so i am not sure what was done to his car. also the traction control seems to be really good with the S6 which is great. What do you guys think of injectors, since i am going standalone will the 650cc sards help achieve over 550 bhp ? thanks a lot guys
Luxluc
650cc will be fine for 550 bhp. I am sure Ryan can raise the fuel pressure to come closer to 600 bhp.

Thats brilliant, i was thinking to sell the 650cc and get the 800cc just in case, well i need to start preparing for this ECU install. have a chat with Mr G tomorrow in terms of what i need to sort out. also arranged for a Dyno Dynamics facility so Ryan can work his magic . Guest osman
yea mate, Ryan is infact on holidays, kinda pushed him to come to melbourne and do this Solaris install. Hope the one day is enough to finalise everything. I just want some around 550 - 600 and i shall be content for a while oh well, its only a month away
sdistc
yes i have have been in conversation with Cihan, i don think i want to waste time / money on emanage anymore I'm surprised he didn't suggest a full standalone like the ViPeC - most of my friends in the ACT Supra Club are running this on their singles. Guest osman
I'm surprised he didn't suggest a full standalone like the ViPeC - most of my friends in the ACT Supra Club are running this on their singles. We discussed Vipec and i do have 2 mates running it. called the vipec dealer in melbourne (there is only one ) JPC and the guy Mark was an absolute prick to me so i decided to try interstate dealers and they would not supply the units to interstate customers. i was like to hell with them , and i herd about Ryan coming down to Melbourne and have read a lot about him in the past. So just to be a little different i am willing to give this new ECU a try sounds very promising this Solaris Ecu also Ryan did mention that vipec is a good unit. but Solaris is better for the features
sdistc
Ahh, sorry to hear about your troubles. I've been pretty lucky, I suppose, as Glen and Daniel @ ESP in Canberra are top notch. I'm looking forward to seeing how you go, as I'm looking to upgrade from my Autronic SM4 in the near future and haven't decided between the Solaris (which gets a good rap over here) and the ViPeC. I am sure you have been reading these forums and about Solaris from what i can gather its turns out better than a Motec. Read up on stever thread where he had issues with the motec m600 to run the vvti and he switched to the solaris and hes very happy with it, Motec is a great ecu but not for the vvti i suppose. Plus the solaris comes with knock , boost , traction , launch etc ..its all in there . My mate with the vipec is still trying to figure out the traction control system and he is not sure if the Vipec has knock control. but the software on the vipec is great , same as the link, infact its the same ecu. Vipec dealers will deny the fact that its not same, just contact Link ecu in new zealand and they will confirm it what wrong with the autronic sm4 ? i thought that runs you car very well will keep this page posted
sdistc
I don't know much firsthand about the ViPeC - my friend Niko had only just had it installed (when the ViPeC was just released) and ESP hadn't fully played with the settings when I left Australia. I *do* know that his anti-lag works very well (28 psi on launch!) However, I'm told it doesn't have the noise issues causing breakdown at high rpm and high boost like the Autronic which is why I want to change. I believe it (ViPeC) has knock control (possibly as part of the autotune function).

Yea just had a quick read , it does have knock control , anti lag etc. all comes down to the tuner i suppose . i have herd good reviews about ESP, all lot act boys are running big singles, I just think the tunners in melbourne are still not familiar with setting up supras as opposed to the UK> most of them don really understand the car well. i am sure all the bugs in the vipec must have been fixd by now as my friends car runs really well , in fact his car was the first vvto to run on vipec in melbourne and it took the tunners about a month to get it up and running well. when do you plan on coming back to the ACT mate? may be you can bring Solaris back with you ..lol

Guest osman
Have confirmed with Ryan G and he will be installing and mapping the Syvecs S6 for me next month. He will be traveling and will be making a pit stop in melbourne. Perfect timing, gives me plenty of time to prepare and save funds for the install. Ryan has been brilliant with answering all my questions and is a great Chap. Cant wait for the install now. Thanks all
sdistc
Cool, thanks for the info, mate. Good luck with it all, I will be watching closely. As for me, I will be visiting home in Feb/March next year to renew my UK visa (and maybe packing the car up to bring over here) and will make a swing south to catch up with the ACT & ESP boys. I'm hoping at some stage the Vic/ACT club meet will happen, but it still looks a while away as quite a few cars aren't 100% finished.
