nevins
Spoke to a supplier and for some reason their plans are on hold, Graupner have a nice kit on the market at the moment but its abs, and I like to build with wood. Here is a link to a nice model but its now dis-continued, iirc it cost up close to 700 complete. https://shop.graupner.de/webuerp/servlet/AI?ARTN=2006
Rob
My dad used to make some very nice model boats. Plans were always dodgy to get hold of, and were often inaccurate and mis-scaled. It took a lot of initiative to get it done. Mind you, he was the type that hand made every plank of a deck.
nevins
Downloading them is dodgy I will agree, If your working off scale drawings it aint so bad. There are a couple of boats I have made which meant cutting and laying individual planks.
Rob
I meant he had printed plans, bought from various places for scratch building. They never seemed to be fully correct.

Rob
It might have been him, not being able to read plans. He did make a very good model boat though, my mum sold them all afterwards, usually for around £400 a pop. I've still got a couple here, and they are exquisitely detailed. I don't have the remote control gear however, because some "friend" of my dads at his model club "took them off her hands" as he told her they were worthless. I think he gave her £80 for 5 multi channel controllers plus a load of receiver / actuator gear too. Nice touch.
