I want to have a full de cat exhaust done. I had a Powerflow custom build on my last car ( Megane Coupe 2.0 16V) but was thinking what are your opinions?

Are the Jap tuners better?

Whats the BHP increase with Powerflow?

Any comments greatly appreciated.

Dont know if jap tuners are better but theres a few to choose from.

Dont know what diff a powerflow makes on a supra but the Blitz Hks Apexi all increase hp. Much more if you take both cats out, you'll possibly have a high boost prob with both cats out and need FCD & BC as well.

Pick whichever you like the look/price/sound of, at BPU level it's not going to make any real difference as long as it an unrestricted 3" pipe.

Mongoose do a complete sainless steel system (decat removal etc) for the same price as just the back box from Apexi or HKS. Around £500

BUT you don't get the really loud/booming exhaust note. Depends what you want.

As for BHP etc etc it's no different to having a HKS, Apexi, Mongoose, Drainpipe, organ pipes.

So long as it's 3" straight through with no restrictions, as Gavin also suggests.

Regards

Pete

Most PowerFlow franchises don't have machines big enough to mandrel bend 2.5" pipe so finding one that can do a good job on 3" pipe is not going to be easy.

Just came back from Powerflow. They quoted me full de cat system for £450.00 as I m a good customer.

I think I remeber they mentioned it would be 2.5 inch. Is that no good??

What do you think abou the price? If you say its not worht it I ll look to have it done somewhere else.

That is a cheap price for a for a full decat exhaust but I would want full 3" pipework or nothing IMO.

BHP increase on a 3" exhaust with the cats removed would be considerably higher than 7-8 bhp (30 bhp maybe?) being a euro spec car there will be no overboosting problems.

i would say you would get more power with a jap exhaust they wont be that much more money for better quality.

one of things i wanted was stainless steel and sound

the blitz nurspec is full stainless steel and one of best sounding exhausts IMO

see paul whiffin or justin at torque ic on this site.

there is also a new titanium exhaust on here for £450. its a new place just started up.

is your car a uk spec with 3 bolts on exhaust system or 2 like on jap spec

go to below,he has one for sale.dont know if its stainless steel.or if its been sold
