Guest sco350
i've not had my supra long but two things really bug me about the car. one is that it needs a lsd and the other is the auto box so... if i was in a breakers yard how would i know if an auto car had a lsd and secondly has anyone changed there car so that the gearbox can become semi auto ? the car is an import
JustGav
If you check the VIN plate you should be able to tell A = open, B = Torsen, that is of course unless it has already been changed. There has been an option in the past of using a controller on the NA gearboxto make it semi-auto, I'm not sure that has been done on a TT, unless you go for the vvti tiptronic, but I'm not sure that is feasable swap into an older car. (Tiptronic and TT box are the same, it is ECU that is different, VERY different)
