Guest Boxstandard
Hi there , I've just bought a N/A Supra and to my dissapointment its restricted to 112mph, the guy I bought it off gave me this little black chip thing with 5 wires coming out of it, which is ment to derestrict it. Does any body know where and how to wire it in? Please

aman00123
I believe you wire it to the ECU, but not 100% sure, someone here will defs know, if you use the search button you'll find a lot of answers too Pics of your nice shiny new supra would be nice too
Fitz
How did you find out it's restricted? Max speed limit in the UK is 70mph....
Mas
Most of the delimiters in the Market don't work properly with the supra as I have checke a few of them until I went and bought one of Thor and all problems were solved the one comes from Thor has an extra wire who've needs to be connected to the ecu, don't remember what colour wire it was but I'm remembering sething like pink
nevins
Use the search button, there is a step by step guide iirc, One wires earth another goes to the ecu, one to the odo meter and another to the gauge.

Guest Budz86
As said, go to Thor and buy one of their top speed delimiters. It comes with a wiring diagram and is pretty easy to fit (although I got the garage to do it as I don't do electrics!) http://www.thor-racing.co.uk/Top_Speed_Delimiter-TSD.asp
Dnk
On the plus side you know its not been ragged higher than that. I've never understood this comment, surely most cars are thrashed around under 100 mph so it makes no differance in my opinion. Most damage is done by not warming the car up and letting it cool down properly and not say driving it at 112 mph or more unless ofcourse your in the wrong gear at these speeds and revving the nuts off it. You'll do this far more at lower speeds as you go through the gears;)
Thomas_germany
I got a blitz power meter. 4 wires. SLDs work with the speedsignal. 1 wire 12V+ 1 wire grounding the other two wire need to be wired in the speed signal. It's the pink cable on the ecu. Here you can see the speedsensor-cable: Edited May 29, 2010 by Thomas_germany (see edit history)

supra-ireland
This happened me the other day. Delimiter pcb had previously been working fine but just failed about 2 weeks after installation. Frightened the life out of me, though I'd blown the turbos for a second.
