Recommended Posts

my dad owns a 300zx import tt and in the glove box there are these electronic boxes- 1 is an apexi AFC and the other is a AVC-R.

what are they for?

does anyone have some knowledge of these and how to set the up correctly?

many thanks rob

AFC = Air Fuel Computer (It fudges the signal from the map/maf sensor)

AVC-R = Boost controller

I had one of those AVC-Rs in my old MR2 Turbo, there isn't a great deal you can do with it when it comes to "setting up", the SAFC is fairly limited too. The manuals are online as mentioned earlier but it's generally 80 pages about fitting to 100 different cars and 2 pages on use.

As far as the apexi AFC goes id leave it on volume 0 or where ever it was before....

Do you have a wideband afr gauge? If so as long as the afr has good readings you should be ok

No worries dude
