MichaelG
KEITH COWIE BREAKS FASTEST GTR RECORD AGAIN !!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all Just spoken to Keith Cowie on the phone about two hours ago (OS Giken on the forum), he is down at Rotorstock, and he has managed to DEMOLISH the fastest 4wd European Drag 1/4 Mile record again (his own) with a 9.3 second quarter mile !! Thats after breaking it with a 9.6 two weeks ago as well ! Terminal speed is unknown as yet as he hadnt collected his slip, but this thing is an absolute monster and is getting better and better all the time. He still has tomorrow to run as well !! He has managed to pick up another trophy for fastest of 32 cars selected as well. Absolutely superb, well done Keith. Very very well deserved !! MONKEYmark
well done, 8`s next any pics of interior like to see how 1100kg car looks like.
Bobbeh
Nope, you're lucky I got the engine bay shot The windows are made from plastic, the rear spolier looks purely for drag use, Im guessing inside was stripped down but for a pre-fab dash and drivers seat. Maybe Keith can inform us when he gets back on a computer
MichaelG
The interior is fully stripped, Keith has even removed most of the wiring from the car, bar the main engine loom to further reduce weight, the doors are fibreglass, and the interior has only partial dash and one seat lol. Superb achievement
Syed Shah
A great time! Congrats! It is indeed fully stripped, the doors weigh as much as a fag packet!
Gaz Walker
I love the fact it's taxed! I wonder if he goes shopping in it Gaz.
Bobbeh
I guess he puts his groceries in the interior as the boot must be full of fuel tank
Guest Usmann A
Nice, sounds a little raspy too. Shame it couldnt be a full weight street car into the 9s, but its a great feat anyway and shows good ol Blighty can drag race ... . with perspex windows ... IanK
minimum weight required for an F1 car is 600KG and they run around 900bhp from a 3 litre V10. Thats about 1500bhp per ton! The can also go from 0-100-0 in 5 seconds!
Matt T
Saw it win yesterday, congrats. Ciretainly a quick car, managed a 9.3 again on the Monday.

Homer
i hit 121 mph in 6.2 seconds 60FT 1.65secs 330FT 4.21secs 660FT 6.24secs @ 121.95MPH 990FT 7.90secs Terminal Speed 158.7MPH TERMINAL TIMEof 9.38secs. thanks Keith We all hear "9 second this.." and "10 second that.." but its when you see times like those above that you really appriciate just how much power and skill is needed to acheive these sort of speeds - Its so far beyond "bpu" it like comparing a Fiesta to a Ferrari
CJ
And if you thought Keith was quick, you should have seen (and heard) the 6 second jet engined cars
