supra steveo
drove our lasses supra on the weekend just gone and it got a bit of a problem i think, at first i thought the clutch was slipping as there was a bad burning smell but when i looked under the car it looked like the smoke was coming off the exhaust , up to the point of the 2nd cat. now i think it might be burning oil but there should be no reason why there is oil in the exhaust on start up the car idles at about 2K too so that worried me too any ideas or anyone had a simalar experience ? Stonkin
Hi mate, ive heard of a seal around the back of the engine that can leak oil onto the exhaust, cant remember anymore details but have definetly heard it a few times on here. Was there a difference in smoke when stationary compared to pulling away?
supra steveo
no it just smelt like a burning clutch and the smoke was coming from the back of the engine, that led me to think clutch first off, any one got an exploded view of the engine ? just so i can trace the oil flow and maybe find this seal or gaskit

Konrad
if smell is similiar to clutch burning, I would rather check gearbox oil than engine oil.
