lippy Posted May 23, 2010 Share Posted May 23, 2010 looks good.will look better when plants get established.give it a year or two.have you any fish.watch out for herons if you have.dont try to keep water too clear cos fish have no cover and herons will have them.had my pond about 4 years now.fed fish tonight and had beer and watched them feeding.hope the weather lasts. I dug a similar sized one over several weeks of after-work evenings, then I go and watch some documentary about canals that tells me the average navvy would dig over twice what I dug in total, in a day! gavin.starr Posted May 24, 2010 Author Share Posted May 24, 2010 Cheers for the coments guys. The filters were the biggest part of my pond, in the way of building everything around suiting them. I ended up making my own utilising one i already had, there was no way i was going to be paying over £500 for a deacent filter so i bought some good quality £14 tubs and some pipe work and went to work.
