ray007
Hey all intending to do a single conversion on my jap spec vvti with uk 550cc injectors and hecklers resister pack.. wondering what kind of setup/bhp can these injectors be used for? would they be good enough for a T61 turbo? thanks
imi
too small for a t61....
johnny g
Probably around 500bhp - good for a BPU w/ hybrids, but not that much more really. Get some drop in 680's

johnny g
I think Power Enterprise do some drop ins
Matt Harwood
Power Enterprise are 650's and perfect for a T61.

Nic
Both of these are side feed/high impedance and will fit the stock rail. SH650A Power Enterprise Fuel Injectors 650cc 63561 SARD Fuel Injectors 650cc
nigelboyne
so is the uk and jap import fuel rail different then
Wez
Another +1 for the PE drop ins, you wont need a resistor pack either so less to go wrong What are you using to control them? so is the uk and jap import fuel rail different then Nope, they are the same. Branners
Why would 550 injectors not be good enough for a t-61? surely it depends on the amount of boost being run and the actual fueling being checked? I ran 550 on my UK spec which was mapped by Ian C with an emanage blue and it was mapped to 1.4bar okay, and set to 1.2bar for day to day use. If you have the time and money then do get the injectors upgraded but not at the expense of a decent ECU and plenty of mapping time to check it is fueling right. Hi, thanks for the advice... am i glad for it you just saved me cash.. I already have an AEM FIC which will hopefully be mapped by ryan g, im looking at around 1.4/1.5 bar boost so ill stick to the 550's thanks again
JamieP
550's will be fine if you want 450-500bhp, a T61 can run 600bhp so if you want the most from it the Power Enterprise drop in 650's sound good, id most likely try for something a little bigger though, future proof it a bit, what size injectors can the aem fic control? johnny g
I'm sure Ryan said he had it working up to 880cc? He did initially say 650cc I think, but then later said 880cc. Not 100%, but am sure he'll let us know
Branners
If you run those boost levels all the time then you may want to look at bigger injectors. As I say, I had it mapped for 1.4bar but ran 1.2 most of the time so was okay with smaller injectors. Perhaps try it with 550cc injectors and see what Ryan can do with it. The only problem is if you find he can only get 1.3bar then you have to up the injectors and get it mapped all the way through the rev range again, which could be quite expensive. So best to think about the boost levels you want to run and how safe you want things to be. I gave up the modification game as I didnt like the number of 'what ifs' that come with upping the turbos and boost.

Not 100%, but am sure he'll let us know i know at first he wasnt sure about 650cc injectors as he mainly recommended this for BPU's and maybe small singles, i believe he eventually got round to using the 650cc's with the AEM FIC and said the results were excellent

If you have a T61 with stock cams and a walbro you will be fine with the 550cc up to about 1.5bar around 480-510bhp

johnny g
Stock cams are ok till 550bhp max imo. Is it the exhaust cam that chokes up at 550bhp, Jamie?
JamieP
I would not mess about with staggered cams myself as i dont know to much about it, mid size turbo you wont go wrong with a pair of 264's
johnny g
On a VVTi though, the range of cams is limited for the intake, that's the reason for asking
