Scott
That sub frame bracket missing is absolutely shocking. It's a shame to see so many things wrong bud, glad you have got some good hands working on the car now though. Well done again guys!! JamieP
So it looks like a failed crank pulley caused the damage, most likely cause a lot of other problems that you have pointed out and you cant blame the garage for that tbh, some of the other stuff is very bad though, that fuel pump cover is shocking, that is messing with your life right there, sub frame bracket removal is terrible and all. Scott
Was the pulley not replaced during the rebuild? Seems like a strange thing to leave out.

nevins
Well what can I say. An early start, gorgeous day and great run down to Lee's. All I can say is that I could not have asked for a better group of members to work with. Was never a dull moment and to start the day off, Darren drops half a bucket of coolant over his own head. Working on a supra, great company and great weather who could have asked for more. A big thanks to Lee the waitress for the coffees and tea and endless supply of food and drink, And an even bigger thanks for Lee's mum for putting up with us all. Almost forgot, Pudsey I want info on how you got on with the Swedish backpackers, and did Helga meet up to your expectations. :innocent:
scotty71
So G, how did the garage time go? did you make any progress on Lee's car ? Club spirit at its finest that

Jamesy
Been looking forward to how it all went. great effort guys i am bloody shocked at how "that" garage gave your car back though mate - **** sake Edited May 22, 2010 by Jamesy (see edit history)
Homer
All back and a couple of threads merged here. Please continue to discuss findings from the day, but keep comments clear of potentially litigious allegations. Edit - The damage to the pulleys all looks linked to the crank pulley failure. Never hear of one fail like that before, but potentially can't blame "the garage" for it. Lost for words on the rest of the pics though, absolutely shocking... Also, great work by those that helped Lee out, well done guys, you're due some good Karma
nevins
Was glad with how today turned out, but shocked at certain discoveries to be honest, you dont risk a persons life for any reason.
Ricky49
Cant believe the fuel pump cover. How could a garage let it leave with workmanship like that.
nevins
Also forgot to mention that Pudsey, Brendon and Darren are sharing bunk beds tonight haha
JamieP
Just looking at them pictures again and i cant get over how bad that is, that is proper life threatening work they have done with your fuel system and chassis, and that oil drain they have took a grinder to is also unreal, these jokers should never be allowed to work on a car again, you need to take legal action against them. He's right Lee - this is an absolutely disgusting way to leave a customers car..... (ANY car, not just becuase its a Supra and not just because you paid them stupid amounts of £££'s for this workmanship).
Spike3.0
Well done lads, great to see you helping him out! I thought when M-Life got a hand it was good, but this takes things to another level ; )
nevins
The way the fuel lines were run unprotected down the length of the car an exposed to the screamer pie was bad, the fuel lines had actually started to split and in places crimped by the cable ties, also there was no fuel filter fitted on the car any where! JamieP
I fear for Lui now, he needs to get his car checked over asap, the more i look at them pictures the worse stuff i see, shocking workmanship.

Jamesy
In a way your lucky the car stopped working when it did - f**k knows what might have happened if you'd driven around with it like that for much longer (drag/track etc) At least you have people working on it now that WONT put your bloody life in danger
Swampy442
Truely shocking work there from so called specialists, Im gutted for you mate. Also a very spectacular crank pulley failure didnt really help matters. So you had potential oil loss, fuel leaks and chassis instabillity???? Jesus. And whats the sensor as a sump plug all about? But great work lads and a fantastic club spirit
Geo
Christ Almighty, that is some serious bad workmanship, that could have been fatal dude. I mean screw your engine thats a cheap fix, more im worried about is the chassis, oil drain, and fuel lines, driving along and bam if anyone of them go your in serious trouble, but tread very carefully mate when/if you take action. And i hope you get it all sorted? ASAP!!
