BOB B
Car failed its MOT yesterday on just a few little things but one of them was the power stearing, it judders slightly when turning, when the car is stationary or moving very slowly, its ok normally. The fluid level is fine and the garage thinks the pump is going, so I need to get hold of a second hand pump in working order as quick as I can, the car is my only drive. I have put a thread in Wanted but I'm just trying to get as many people to see this as possable, sorry Mod's. Thanks. Bob.
colsoop
Have you tried cleaning out the reservoir? They have a little gauze filter at the base to stop crud. Over time they get blocked with old oil and bits.
Dnk
Get a new one and job done, or call Keron who breaks them, his details are in the traders section (Extreme Performance)

Smallshinyant
I cleaned mine out couple of weeks ago and was surprised how much crap was in there This is interesting. Is it something that is easy to do. Is there any more info?
Jimmer
If I replace the pump does it matter if it comes off a j spec or uk I'm uk? No, it makes no difference, UK, Jspec or N/A the're all the same. I used a N/A pump on my UK.
BOB B
Well, all sorted now, I have a few people to thank before I run through what I did. Thanks to Rob/Dr_Doom and Phil/Terminater for offering up thier spare pumps so quickly, and thanks to Colsoop and Darron Q for getting me to check out the reservoir in more detail. Colsoop suggested I remove the filter and clean it, I couldn't get into let alone find a filter in the reservoir sos what's the next best thing, flush it, so into service manual and found flushing and replacing the fluid which I did, then got all the air out, fill to correct level and Roberts your mothers brother. Took it back in today and passed. Thanks all who helped. Bob.
pistonbroke
Glad it was a relatively cheap fix for you mate, you've had some shocking luck lately with that car
BOB B
Yup, your right Dan, but still feel the love. How's your refurbed turbos going? have you really pushed them yet? Iv'e just today had the nod from my wife to get my spare set down to CR and get them jobbied and then I can fit them. Then of course there is all this in supra chat about crank pullies, so think I might look at that next, then it will be coming around time to get some new CW pads agian, it just never ends does it. Cheers. Bob.

I've got them on 1.25bar at the moment, I don't want them pushing any harder until I get some standalone fuel control implemented. I also need to get the car on a rolling road to see what the fueling is like with the mines ECU.
