Occasionally the electrics of the car will fail and I'll also lose power steering! This has happened on a few occasions and I don't fancy it happening at speed! I've checked the fuses but everything seems ok! What's more confusing is that I thought the power steering was belt and pump driven!? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. What's more confusing is that I thought the power steering was belt and pump driven!? It is but the amount of assistance you get varies with speed and is controlled electrically. Sorry, the heater controls, dials, all internal lights in the car, and even the electric windows go off which I discovered tonight! However, my el-glo dials stay lit as well as the gauges that I installed which if i remember are powered off the clock power supply, also the turbo timer isn't affected. The volt meter shows the volts drop right down from around 14v to 12v quite quickly too. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
