Me mate has a Evo5 full decate, filter, Uprated ECU running 1.2Bar thinking hes pushing around 350bhp......I HOPE NOT!!!

He's always fancied a little poke agasint my Standard Import TT auto but never had the balls to do it. But last night after spending a bit of money he did.

So this is how it happen:

Off the aroundabout at 20mhp, kickdown dropped it into first left him by half a car lenght into second and he caugh up on me closing my lead and sat behind my bumper, into 3rd it was neck, into 4th at 120mph i started to pull away a little bit. Had to brake at this point.

Then off the mark he pulled a full car length in front in first gear (cant beat 4x4 for that sorta thing) then i was stuck to his bumper till 80mph and that was that.

I thought he would have killed me but it wasnt ment to be, if I had his mod's on my car it would had been a slaughter.

Sorry about the rant just wanted to share!!!

a 350bhp evo will usually waste a standard Supra TT all the way up the rev range until your doing very high speeds.

The gearing on those evos are more in favour of acceleration than the Supra. But once travelling at high speed the areodynamics of the Supra will come into its own against the brick dynamics of an evo ! ;-)

But if you've tweaked your Supra a bit and got it upto 380-400bhp area then above 60 the supra will reel most 4wd cars in with no problems.

I've had a few 'plays' against a modded evo and a modded scooby and each time my Supra easily pulls past them once moving. Off the line, like you say, the 4WD traction combined with better 2nd gear ratio means most modded Supras will have a hard time level pegging to 60.
